SIGNATURE CLASS

Leadership Montgomery County (LMC) is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to cultivating the future leaders of the Montgomery County area. The LMC signature class is designed to develop new community leaders and enhance the skills and community awareness of existing community leaders. The goal of the process is to assemble a diverse group of individuals with a common interest in leadership and to better prepare those leaders to serve the community. Crafted by the Executive Director, Board of Directors and Session Directors, the signature class provides an educational forum and leadership development opportunities for participants. Class members begin their year with an overnight retreat followed by 8 class sessions on one Thursday of each month at various locations throughout Montgomery County. DETAILS

Time Commitment: The LMC signature class is a 9-month program with an overnight retreat and 8 class sessions from September through May. Session days are 8 am to 5 pm at various locations throughout Montgomery County. Class members are expected to attend each of the session days. The class also works together on a class project to use their leadership skills to benefit the community. Class project time is decided by each class and each participant. This is LMC’s leadership laboratory, and our participants find that the benefit that they receive from it is usually directly related to the effort that they put in. Some class project participation is mandatory for the participant to graduate. Over the LMC year, average project-hours per class member: 30-40.

Tuition: Tuition is $1,500 and includes lunches and all materials.

Application Deadline: Applications are due June 28, 2024.
